Getting Ready

With the creation of this blog, I get to cross one (rather intimidating) item off my to-do list, in getting ready for our first trip to Europe.  We leave in just over six weeks!

Passports?  Check.  We’ve had them for years and still don’t have any stamps (Canadian border agents just look at them and wave you on)

Comfortable shoes?  Check.  I “auditioned” four pairs (and returned three) before finding some that I hope will be comfortable enough for all the walking we’ll do.

Transportation?  Check.  Round trip plane tickets bought a few months ago ($178 and 100,000 Alaska Airline miles TOTAL for both of our roundtrip tickets)

I’ll wrap up my first (basically a practice) post by seeing if I can figure out how to add a picture, since I hope to be posting daily pictures and commentary once our actual journey gets underway.  For now, au revoir (I’m practicing some basic languages we’ll need!)
